Strategic Planning at TCU
The Process and
Opportunities for Participation

In Fall 2003, Chancellor Victor Boschini appointed a strategic planning steering committee to develop an in-depth, participatory process for setting the priorities for TCU’s advancement. The basic concept is to build upon TCU’s strengths, including the firm financial foundation established by Chancellor Emeritus William E. Tucker and the infrastructure developed by Chancellor Emeritus Michael R. Ferrari through The Commission on the Future of TCU. The planning process will build on these past accomplishments as well as take into account current economic conditions and University aspirations. A long-established strategic planning firm, Kaludis Consulting, is advising the strategic planning steering committee in this process.

A vital aspect of the strategic planning process will be the involvement of the entire University community. Please see the left-hand column for the project’s basic objectives, the process that will be used in planning, opportunities for participation and more. Current participants are listed on the right. Many more members of the campus community will become actively involved as the strategic planning process develops. The entire University community is invited to participate in the planning process and share thoughts and recommendations through this strategic planning Web site.
