1.The Commission on the Future
of TCU report card
The Commission task force staff facilitators are working with the Strategic
Planning Steering Committee co-chairs to produce this report by January
2004. This public report card will identify the Commission’s goals
that have been attained, those that are in the process of implementation,
those that have not yet been realized and those that are no longer appropriate.
The report card will be available to the campus community on the strategic
planning Web site, and everyone is invited to respond online or by contacting
any member of the steering committee. (Under way)
2.The economic review group
Representatives from across the campus have been invited to participate.
The report will be posted on the strategic planning Web site in spring
’04, and everyone is invited to respond online or by contacting
any member of the steering committee. (Under way)
3.Environmental scan conference
Kaludis Consulting will lead a forum to discuss the most relevant issues
determined in this analysis of the higher education environment. The
Chancellor will invite individuals from across the campus, as well as
TCU stakeholders, to participate. (Spring ’04)
4.Position papers
The Chancellor invited representatives from a variety of disciplines
to work on each paper. (Fall ’03-Winter ’04)
5.Position strategy conference
When the position papers are complete, Kaludis Consulting will lead
a forum to discuss the conclusions. Participants will include representatives
from across the campus, as well as TCU stakeholders. (Fall ’04)
6.Refinement of school and college
plans.
Faculty and administrators from each school and college will revise
individual school and college plans. (Fall ’04)
7. Strategic planning Website
Members of the University community may present observations and ideas
to the strategic planning steering committee through the strategic planning
Web site. Also all issues, reports and papers will be posted for on
this Website for review and comment. As the planning process evolves,
the Web site also will evolve. (Winter ’03-Fall ’05)
8. Board of Trustees
The Trustees will discuss these issues and participate in the entire
planning process. (’04-’05)
